In order to protect valuable resources, binding guidelines for energy efficiency for the use of external power supplies were adopted in 2004. External power supplies are used for various consumer products. These include DECT phones, smartphones and tablets, as well as notebooks, set-top boxes and WLAN routers.

Within our laboratory, we test these products according to current guidelines for energy efficiency.
